Getting To and From Baguio and Manila

Buses from Victory Liner travel to Baguio everyday. There is a bus leaving every hour from the Pasay Station.  There are two grades of bus, the regular and deluxe with onboard toilet, more comfortable seats, and free wifi. Prices for bus tickets are P500+ ($12 USD) per person. You can expect the trip from Manila to take 6 – 8+ hours, and the buses will make a 10 minute stop every 2 hours for toilet, cigarette, and snack breaks.

Buses returning to Manila leave Baguio every few hours from the Victory Liner Terminal or subterminal. Buses will stop at Cubao or Pasay Stations.

 


Private Cars & Vans can be hired to take you on the trip from Manila to Baguio and vice versa. It can cost anywhere from P3,000 – 6,000 ($75 – 150 USD) depending on the type of vehicle and the number of people. I find it more economical to hire a driver from Baguio rather than one from Manila. It is easier to book the driver for a one way trip, or you can hire the driver for the entire trip to Baguio and surrounding sites. driver’s accomodations and Need a recommendation for a good driver? Air Travel – Currently, we do not have any airlines flying to Baguio. We have adequate airports, but due to adverse weather, airlines no longer fly to Baguio. If you are an airline that will begin flights to and from Baguio, please let us know! We are happy to welcome you with many customers!

Getting Around Baguio

Staying within walking distance of the main city and it’s major attractions is the most ideal situation, because everything is right at your doorstep.

  • Walking is the most popular way to get around the city, and it is great exercise! Walking around the city will give you a good idea of what life is like in Baguio, and you will discover many of its secrets.
  • Jeepneys are the most common form of transportation because it is economical and readily available. Jeepneys go most anywhere in Baguio and the surrounding areas. The average fare for a short distance is P7.00. Ask the locals, security guards, or the police for directions. People are friendly and helpful in Baguio.
  • Taxis are found every where at any time of the day or night. The starting meter recently increased to near Manila prices at P35.00, but you can expect the driver to give you the change!

 

At Night…

Some remote areas within the city will be not have jeepney service at night, and taxis are also rarely seen in these places. So be sure to plan your trip with this in mind, by leaving early or hiring a taxi or private care to ensure your transportation.
