Athletic Bowl

Baguio City Athletic has always been a go-to destination for people who want to walk, jog, or run. However, with the installation of the rubberized track, the city has implemented new policies to control the influx of people who want to use the oval. While this doesn’t mean that the public is not allowed inside anymore, there is now a system in place to regulate the number of people using the track oval at any given time.

Before entering the oval, you must purchase a ticket at the entrance booth. The fees are 25 pesos for regulars, and 10 pesos for students and government workers. However, Baguio City athletes, senior citizens, and people with disabilities (PWDs) can use the oval for free. The ticket booth is usually manned by two to three personnel to ensure the smooth implementation of the policy.

It’s important to note that the Athletic Bowl is open every day from 5 in the morning to 6 in the evening, and the no-ticket-no-entry policy is strictly enforced. Students need to present their school ID, while athletes need to prove that they are indeed athletes.

Additionally, the oval has some policies and guidelines in place for everyone’s safety and enjoyment. Proper gear, especially footwear, should always be worn inside the oval due to its rubberized track. Pets, bikes, skateboards, and other similar devices are strictly prohibited, and people are not allowed to bring large radios or speakers into the oval. Lastly, walkers, joggers, and runners are advised to use the outer lanes (5th to the 8th lane) while Baguio City athletes are given priority for the inner lanes.
