The Philippines takes Christmas seriously, starting to play Christmas music and decorating as early as September. The temperature in Baguio around Christmas time is cool to sometimes downright cold, giving Baguio a real authentic Christmasy feel. A lot of the homes and buildings in Baguio even have working fireplaces. Baguio also does an exceptional job with its decorating for Christmas. There are always a number of large impressively decorated Christmas trees in Baguio. Traditionally one of them is in the Rose Garden Area of Burnham Park. Beautiful to see and great for taking Christmas photos. Usually the tree that is erected in the Rose Garden will at least 20 meters tall. Large enough to be seen from quite some distance.
