Thunderstorms are not as frequent in Baguio as they are in many other places, but when Baguio does have a thunderstorm it can be spectacular.
In general Baguio’s weather is pretty interesting. The sky’s are frequently clear during the winter months from November to March. The rest of the year usually Baguio typically has rain, at least in the afternoons. This is when you’re more likely to see fog in Baguio, or clouds blanketing the city or flowing through Baguio.
When Baguio has thunderstorms they are usually magnificent. Being high up in the mountains puts you closer to the clouds. So, the sounds of the thunder are often louder, and your view of the lightning is that much closer. So it’s quite possibly for you to be at the same level as the clouds, or even above them during a thunder storm.
